If you’re a parent to a child with limited mobility we believe that bath time should be no different. With that in mind we created a bathing aid – the Surfer Bather – that will help and support you at this special time of day.

The Surfer Bather is designed to help minimise the moving and handling risks for parents and carers, using a powered elevating bath lift that can lower and raise your child in and out of the bath safely. It gives children the support they need to relax, play and strengthen their bond with their parents during bath time.

Benefits of the Surfer Bather

The Surfer Bather is a bathing aid designed to hold a child securely as they are lifted in and out of the bath, making bath time safe for both the child and carer as it reduces the risk of back injury when lifting. With a safe environment, the emphasis can really be made on making bathing a fun and enjoyable part of the day.

Who can use it?

It’s ideal for parents and carers who struggle to lift their child in and out of the bath.

The bathing aid can be removed when it’s not in use, making it the perfect solution for a family setting with a shared family bathroom.

Am I Eligible For Funding?

You may be eligible to receive funding support.

Your Occupational Therapist normally applies for this on your behalf through the NDIS or state agency.
